I have been in education for over twenty five years, five of which were in Japan working in a large British English language school in Tokyo as a teacher and Director of Studies. (Highly recommend spending time teaching abroad, if your circumstances allow it). Back in the UK, I have been a Head of Department for fifteen years and I have also held the positions of Head of e-learning and Head of Learning and Thinking.
A qualified PE teacher, I hold a Masters degree in Education (from the Institute of Education, UCL, University of London) and I have a qualification on online tutoring from the University of Oxford (my home city). I am currently Director of Educational Technology at a large school in Somerset, in the UK and I recently obtained the CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Learning & Development.
